NomadTech, building N’Zon Freelance

In partnership with NomadTech: introducing N’Zon Freelance

Coworking spaces and freelancers are made for each other. The same person who rents a hotdesk by day is, very often, the same person looking for their next contract by evening. We see this every day at N’Zon. So when the chance came to build something specifically for the freelance side of that equation, it didn’t feel like a stretch. It felt like the obvious next step.

That’s the project we’ve been developing in partnership with NomadTech: a localised web application called N’Zon Freelance, built to connect Albanian freelancers with local and international clients. The platform is funded by NomadTech as part of an ongoing partnership and is currently in active development, structured around a six-month cycle from October to March that covers planning, technical development, and preparation for testing and launch.

The problem N’Zon Freelance is built to solve is concrete. Albanian freelancers face real friction when working with international clients: international payments are complicated, the commissions on global platforms are high, and the community support that helps freelancers grow professionally is mostly missing. Locally, freelancers and clients still find each other through informal channels, word of mouth, social media, scattered groups, which means good freelancers stay invisible and good clients struggle to find reliable matches. N’Zon Freelance is being built to fix that.

On the freelancer side, the platform allows users to create professional profiles, list their services, communicate with clients, and manage collaborations through a single system. On the client side, there’s a structured, transparent way to search, evaluate, and engage freelancers. Under the hood, the application covers the full stack of what a marketplace needs to work: UI/UX design, frontend and backend development, user registration, service listings, in-platform messaging, and a payments-and-commissions system tailored to the local market. The platform is designed to be scalable, with room for new features as the community grows.

There’s one thing about N’Zon Freelance that sets it apart from a standard freelance marketplace, and it’s worth naming directly. The model is hybrid. The digital platform is paired with the physical N’Zon community, which means freelancers don’t just get a tool, they get networking, training, and community activities anchored in a real place. That combination is hard to replicate, and it’s the reason building this from inside N’Zon makes more sense than building it as a generic platform somewhere else. Every design decision has been informed by conversations we’ve had over coffee with the people who’ll use it.

NomadTech’s role here has been essential. Their funding has let us develop the platform without compromising on quality or rushing to a half-built launch. Just as importantly, the partnership has been collaborative rather than transactional. Both sides are invested in seeing this become something the Albanian freelance ecosystem genuinely benefits from.

We’re not ready to share a public launch date yet. The platform is moving through its development phases on schedule, and we want to release it when it’s genuinely ready, not before. What we can say is that the work is steady, the vision is clear, and the partnership behind it is strong.

In the meantime, our thanks to NomadTech for backing a project that doesn’t promise quick returns but does promise long-term value to the people who’ll use it. That’s the kind of investment we believe in.
